Markaz Taleemul Quran, Delhi, has announced a one day National Seminar on the theme “Relevance of Quranic Teachings in the Contemporary Era”, scheduled to be held on November 22, 2026, in New Delhi.

The seminar aims to highlight the significance and applicability of Quranic teachings in addressing the intellectual, moral, social, and cultural challenges facing humanity today. Scholars, researchers, academicians, writers, and students of Islamic studies from across the country have been invited to participate and present scholarly papers.

According to the organizers, the Holy Quran, being the final divine revelation, continues to serve as an eternal source of guidance for humanity. At a time when the world is grappling with ideological confusion, ethical decline, social unrest, and cultural conflicts, it has become essential to academically examine solutions offered by the Quran.

A wide range of topics has been proposed for discussion, including the Quran as an eternal source of guidance, Quranic solutions to contemporary intellectual and moral crises, modern civilizational challenges, family values, women’s rights, human rights, economic systems, environmental protection, global peace, interfaith relations, national integration, and the relevance of Quranic teachings in India’s pluralistic society.

The seminar will also address emerging issues such as the ethical challenges of the digital age and the relationship between Artificial Intelligence and Quranic values. Other suggested themes include the need for promoting the understanding of the Quran, practical implementation of Quranic teachings, and the role of scholars and educational institutions in shaping a Quranic civilization.

The organizers have specified that submitted papers must be original and research based, with a maximum length of ten pages. Authors are also required to submit a one page abstract along with their papers. Selected participants will be given an opportunity to present the summary of their papers during the seminar.Selected papers, after editorial review, will be published in book form with due credit to the authors.

Interested scholars must confirm their selected topic by September 1, 2026, while the final date for submission of research papers has been fixed as October 20, 2026.

Markaz Taleemul Quran has appealed to scholars, teachers, researchers, and individuals associated with Quranic studies to actively participate in this academic initiative and contribute towards presenting Quranic guidance as a meaningful response to contemporary challenges.
