KSNDMC reassured the public that the low intensity of the quake means no harm or structural damage is expected in the area.

“This type of earthquake would not create any harm to the local community as the intensity observed is low, though there might be local vibrations felt,” the statement noted.

The affected region falls under Seismic Zone III, which indicates moderate seismic risk. However, the KSNDMC added that the area does not contain any significant structural discontinuities, according to the Tectonic Map.

No injuries or property damage have been reported so far.
