Majlis Islah Wa Tanzeem Announces Seerah Campaign in Bhatkal, 35 Special Prizes for Quiz Participants
Campaign includes Seerah quiz, special interaction with prominent citizens and a concluding programme later this month

Bhatkal: Majlis Islah Wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal’s central social and community organisation, has announced a month long Seerah campaign aimed at spreading the message of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and creating greater awareness in society.
Announcing the campaign at a press conference held at the organisation’s office, General Secretary Maulana Azizur Rahman Nadwi said three major programmes have been planned. These include a written Seerah quiz, a special interaction with prominent members of other communities and a concluding programme at the end of the month.
The first phase of the campaign is the Seerah quiz, which is open to anyone aged nine and above residing in Bhatkal, including women. Question papers are available from the Majlis Islah Wa Tanzeem office as well as local schools and colleges.
Question papers are being distributed during office hours from 9:30 am until Zuhr and from 4:45 pm to 9 pm after Asr. The last date to collect and submit the completed answer sheets is October 8 at 9 pm. No entries will be accepted after the deadline.
As per the rules, a maximum of three members from one family can participate in the quiz. The first, second and third prize winners will receive cash prizes of ₹15,000, ₹10,000 and ₹5,000, respectively. In addition, 35 special prizes have been announced for other participants.
The second major programme will be a special interaction with prominent citizens from other communities on October 18 at Jali, from 11:30 am to 2 pm. The organisers said it will be a selected gathering rather than a general public meeting.
Prominent lawyers, administrative and police officials, medical professionals, bank managers and other community leaders have been invited to the programme. The newly appointed Additional Superintendent of Police of Bhatkal and Vartha Bharati Editor in Chief Abdul Salam Puthige are expected to attend as special guests and speak on interfaith harmony and the universal message of peace in the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The campaign will conclude with a programme at Public Chabutra during the last week of October. The event will feature talks by prominent Islamic scholars and the distribution of prizes to successful participants of the Seerah quiz. The final date of the concluding programme will be announced later.
The organisers said that love for Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and following his Seerah are integral to the faith of Muslims. They also stressed the importance of connecting the younger generation with the Prophet’s teachings of good character, tolerance, honesty and service to humanity amid contemporary challenges and social changes.
Majlis Islah Wa Tanzeem has appealed to residents to encourage their family members and friends to participate in the quiz in large numbers and help spread the message of the Seerah.
