Lightning Strike in Surathkal Injures Two Teenagers, Damages Home
The incident occurred on Saturday evening during a heavy thunderstorm in the Madhava Nagar area.
MANGALURU: Two teenagers suffered minor injuries after lightning struck their house in Surathkal on Saturday night. The home is located in the Madhava Nagar neighborhood.
The incident happened during a storm with heavy rain. The injured individuals have been identified as 19-year-old Lavanya and 16-year-old Soujanya.
According to sources, five family members were inside the house when the lightning hit. Lavanya and Soujanya were quickly taken to a private hospital in Mukka, where they received treatment for their injuries.
The lightning strike also caused physical damage to the property, cracking a wall and the floor of the house.
