Last Minute Twist in Karnataka Cabinet Expansion as Mankal Vaidya Misses Out on Ministerial Berth
Uttara Kannada remains without cabinet representation after Mankal Vaidya's name is reportedly dropped from the final list.

A major last minute development in the Karnataka cabinet expansion has reportedly dashed Uttara Kannada district’s hopes of securing ministerial representation.
Bhatkal MLA Mankal Vaidya was widely expected to be inducted into the state cabinet. However, according to sources, his name was dropped from the final list following political developments in the closing stages of the selection process.
Sources further indicated that S. S. Mallikarjun was included in the cabinet instead of Mankal Vaidya.
The reported development has disappointed Congress workers and supporters of Mankal Vaidya across Uttara Kannada. The district’s continued absence from the state cabinet has once again become a subject of political discussion, with many questioning when the district will receive representation in the ministry.
An official announcement from the Congress high command and the state government is still awaited. It remains to be seen whether Mankal Vaidya will eventually be included in the cabinet or miss out on a ministerial berth.
