Landslide Sweeps Bus Off Road in Northern India, Killing at Least 15
Heavy monsoon rains triggered the deadly landslide in the state of Himachal Pradesh.

New Delhi – At least 15 people have been killed in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh after their bus was hit by a massive landslide. The disaster was caused by recent heavy rains in the region.
According to local officials, rescue teams and village residents are on the scene, continuing to search for survivors who may be trapped in the wreckage.
This incident follows another recent tragedy in India caused by severe weather. Last week, heavy rains led to devastating landslides and floods in Darjeeling, located in the northeast. The floods in that area killed at least 36 people, destroyed over 500 homes, and washed away many roads. The disaster also damaged about 5% of the region’s famous tea plantations.
