Karnataka to Hold Special Job Fair for Persons with Disabilities in Bengaluru This August
State government launches AI powered Adidvara platform to improve employment and skill opportunities for PwDs.

Karnataka Skill Development Minister Sharana Prakash R Patil has announced that a dedicated job fair for persons with disabilities will be organised in August at Kanteerava Stadium.
The announcement was made during the launch of the Adidvara app, an inclusive employment and skilling platform developed in collaboration with AssisTech Foundation.
Speaking at the event, Patil said persons with disabilities are equally capable and talented, and urged companies to provide fair opportunities and equal treatment during recruitment.
The Adidvara platform is designed to help persons with disabilities connect with jobs, internships, and training programmes. It also allows employers to post inclusive job openings and reach a wider pool of skilled candidates.
According to officials, the app uses an AI based matching system to connect job seekers with suitable opportunities based on their skills, interests, and accessibility needs. The platform aims to make hiring more inclusive and effective for both employers and candidates.
During the event, the minister also unveiled the official logo for the upcoming job fair, highlighting the government’s focus on building an inclusive workforce ecosystem across Karnataka.
The Adidvara job fair is expected to bring together employers, training partners, and assistive technology startups under one platform. The event will include recruitment drives, career counselling sessions, awareness programmes on skill development, and technology demonstrations.
Companies from sectors such as IT, retail, manufacturing, banking, hospitality, and services are expected to participate in the fair.
Officials said more than 3,000 job seekers with disabilities, representing all 21 recognised disability categories, are likely to attend the event. The fair will provide opportunities for direct recruitment as well as structured interactions between employers and candidates.
