July 10 Last Date to Avail 50% Discount on Traffic Fines in Karnataka
Motorists can settle eligible traffic challans and transport cases at half the penalty amount before the National Lok Adalat on July 11.
Motorists in Karnataka have been reminded that July 10 is the final day to avail a 50 percent discount on eligible traffic fines under a special settlement drive ahead of the National Lok Adalat scheduled for July 11.
The concession applies to cases registered by the Transport Department between 1991 and 2022, as well as traffic challans issued by the Police Department before May 2026.
According to Jaibunnisa, Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, the discounted settlement scheme has been in effect from June 21 to July 10. Citizens can clear their pending cases by paying only half of the prescribed fine during this period.
The initiative aims to encourage the speedy disposal of long pending traffic and transport related cases through the National Lok Adalat, while providing financial relief to motorists.
Vehicle owners with pending fines have been urged to take advantage of the scheme before the deadline expires on July 10.
