English Medium Section Shines as School Achieves Solid Overall Pass Rate
Islamia Anglo Urdu High School in Bhatkal has released the results of its first SSLC examination for the year 2026, and the numbers tell an encouraging story for the institution.
Out of 51 students who sat for the exam, 39 cleared it successfully, giving the school an overall pass percentage of 76.47%. The results were broken down across two sections, two mediums, and six subjects, offering a detailed picture of where students excelled and where there is room to grow.
English Medium Outperforms Urdu Medium
The school runs two sections for Class X. Section XA follows the Urdu medium with 25 students, while Section XB follows the English medium with 26 students.
Section XB came out ahead with an impressive pass rate of 88.46%, with 23 out of 26 students clearing the exam. Section XA recorded a pass rate of 64%, with 16 out of 25 students passing.
Subject by Subject Breakdown
Across the school, Social Science emerged as the strongest subject, with 50 out of 51 students passing, translating to a 98.03% pass rate. Science was not far behind at 96.07%, with 49 students clearing the paper.
First Language (Urdu or English) and Kannada as the second language both recorded a pass rate of 94.11%. Mathematics saw 47 students pass, achieving 92.15%. The third language paper recorded the lowest pass rate among all subjects at 84.31%.
Class XA: Science Achieves Perfect Score
Looking specifically at the Urdu medium section, Science stood out as the only subject where all 25 students passed, achieving a perfect 100%. Social Science followed closely at 96%. Urdu, Kannada, and Mathematics each recorded 88%, while English as the third language was the most challenging subject for this group, with only 17 out of 25 students passing at 68%.
Class XB: Near Flawless in Multiple Subjects
The English medium section delivered remarkable results across several subjects. Students in XB achieved a full 100% pass rate in Urdu as the first language, Kannada as the second language, Urdu as the third language, and Social Science. Mathematics recorded 96% while Science came in at 92%.
Top Scorer of the Examination
The highest marks in the examination were secured by Sahil Mullick, son of Sartaj Mullick, who scored 464 out of 624, achieving 74.24%.
The results reflect a generally positive performance by the school, with the English medium section showing particularly strong results across almost all subjects.
