The coastal belt witnessed moderate showers on the night of April 24, followed by partly cloudy skies with intermittent sunshine on Friday and Saturday. Some areas, including Byndoor, also received rainfall late Friday night.

In Mangaluru, temperatures remained above normal on Saturday, with a maximum of 34.7°C and a minimum of 25.3°C. High humidity levels further added to discomfort, affecting daily routines across the region.

Authorities have advised fishermen and coastal residents to stay cautious, especially during thunderstorms and lightning activity. The public has also been urged to remain hydrated and take necessary precautions against the combined impact of rising temperatures and sudden rain spells.
