Participants made the programme more eye catching by arranging themselves in the shape of the letters “SIR” while standing in the human chain.

As part of the campaign, a beach cleanliness drive was also conducted at Rabindranath Tagore Beach. Volunteers cleaned the beach and encouraged the public to protect the environment and maintain cleanliness in public spaces.

During the programme, people were urged to actively participate in the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral roll by checking their names, addresses and other details in the voter list and making any necessary corrections.

Officials said that updating the electoral roll is an important step in strengthening the democratic process and appealed to all eligible voters to cooperate with the revision exercise.
