Gudigaragalli Ganeshotsava Committee Spreads Message of Harmony by Serving Sweets During Eid Milad Procession in Kumta
Members welcome the Muslim community and join hands to distribute fruits to patients at a government hospital
Kumta: The Public Ganeshotsava Committee of Gudigaragalli, which is preparing to mark its 50th year, celebrated the spirit of communal harmony by welcoming the Eid Milad procession with sweets and greetings.
As part of the annual Eid Milad celebrations, a procession organised by the Muslim community began from Halkar Dargah in Kumta and passed through various parts of the town. When the procession reached Gudigaragalli, members of the Public Ganeshotsava Committee welcomed the participants and distributed sweets to the Muslim community members, extending their greetings on the occasion of Eid Milad.
Following this, members of both communities visited the Kumta Government Hospital together and distributed fruits among patients. The initiative conveyed a message of humanity, mutual respect and communal harmony.
A similar tradition has continued during Ganesh Chaturthi, when members of the Muslim community in Kumta participate in Ganesh celebrations and receive prasada. Such occasions have helped strengthen bonds of friendship, trust and harmony between the two communities.
Committee members said that festivals provide an opportunity for people from different communities to come together and celebrate with mutual respect. They expressed hope that the spirit of harmony and peaceful coexistence would continue to grow in society.
Public Ganeshotsava Committee Gudigaragalli President Lakshman Naik, along with Raju Naik, Raghavendra Naik, Manjunath Naik, Guruprasad Naik, Vasu Naik, Vinayak Naik, Maruti Naik, Sridhar Kumtakar, Girish Naik, Prakash Naik and Yogi Naik were present.
