Following a tragic road accident near Shiruru along National Highway 66, the management of Green Valley International School together with local community members has called on the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and district administration to urgently construct a dedicated service road outside the educational campus.

The appeal comes in the wake of heightened safety concerns for students, staff, and daily commuters navigating high speed highway traffic without adequate access roads or pedestrian crossings. School authorities pointed out that the absence of a proper service lane forces school buses, private vehicles, and pedestrians directly onto the main highway lanes, creating dangerous conditions daily.

In addition to demanding a dedicated service road, the school administration urged authorities to install speed breakers, prominent warning signs, pedestrian zebra crossings, and adequate street lighting around the school zone to prevent further mishaps.

Local residents and parents backed the demand, emphasizing that prompt infrastructure upgrades are essential to safeguarding young students and ensuring safe transit for vehicles entering and leaving the school premises.
