Grand Mosque Announces Weekly Prayer Schedule for Imams in Makkah
Roster covers Sunday, August 2 to Saturday, August 8, 2026 (19–25 Safar 1448 AH)

The Agency for Imams and Muezzins Affairs has released the weekly schedule of imams leading the five daily prayers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah, covering the period from 19 to 25 Safar 1448 AH.
Sheikh Badr bin Muhammad Al-Turki will lead the Fajr (dawn) and Asr (afternoon) prayers this week, with Sheikh Dr. Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Shamsan serving as his reserve for both.
For Dhuhr (noon) prayers, Sheikh Dr. Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Shamsan will take the lead, with Sheikh Badr bin Muhammad Al-Turki named as reserve imam.
Sheikh Prof. Dr. Faisal bin Jamil Ghazzawi will lead the Maghrib (sunset) prayer, with Sheikh Badr bin Muhammad Al-Turki standing by as backup.
Finally, for Isha (night) prayers, Sheikh Dr. Al-Waleed bin Khalid Al-Shamsan will lead, with Sheikh Badr bin Muhammad Al-Turki again serving as reserve.
The rotation reflects the routine schedule maintained by the Agency to ensure smooth prayer leadership at the Grand Mosque, which welcomes worshippers from across the world around the clock.
