Former RSS Pracharak Yashwant Shinde Calls for Ban on RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal, Seeks Fresh Probe Into Blast Cases
Shinde has urged central authorities to investigate alleged links between right wing activists and past blast incidents, saying the cases require an independent review.
Former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh pracharak Yashwant Shinde has called for a ban on the RSS, Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, alleging that the organisations have been involved in activities that threaten communal harmony and social peace.
In a petition submitted to government authorities, Shinde also sought a fresh and independent investigation into several bomb blast cases from the past. He alleged that some right wing activists were involved in secret training camps and attacks carried out in different parts of the country.
Shinde has previously appeared in court and submitted affidavits describing his association with right wing organisations. He has also made claims about his knowledge of alleged bomb making training and workshops.
In his latest petition, Shinde said a detailed reinvestigation was necessary to establish the facts surrounding earlier blast cases and determine whether those responsible had escaped accountability.
He urged investigating agencies to examine the allegations independently and take legal action against anyone found to have been involved in political violence.
Shinde also argued that protecting communal harmony and democratic institutions requires a thorough examination of allegations involving organised political violence.
The claims made by Shinde are allegations and would require verification through an independent investigation and judicial process. The RSS, VHP and Bajrang Dal have not been established as responsible for the alleged acts solely on the basis of these claims.
