Ex Serviceman Killed After Car Crashes Into Electric Pole on National Highway in Murdeshwar
A former army personnel from Kerala lost his life after a car lost control and rammed into an electric pole near Murdeshwar railway station.

Bhatkal: A tragic road accident on National Highway 66 near Murdeshwar claimed the life of a former serviceman from Kerala on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Sagaranath, aged 40, who had earlier served in the Indian Army. The accident took place near the Murdeshwar railway station when the car he was travelling in reportedly went out of the driver’s control and crashed into an electric pole along the roadside.
According to reports, the group was travelling from Kerala towards Murdeshwar when the driver suddenly lost control of the vehicle. The impact of the collision severely damaged the front portion of the car.
Sagaranath suffered serious injuries in the crash and passed away at the scene. Three other passengers travelling in the vehicle were also injured and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Murdeshwar Police Station PSI Hanumanth Bhiradar visited the accident spot and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
