Enumeration Form Distribution Completed Across Uttara Kannada, Says Deputy Commissioner
Over 12.3 lakh voters covered as electoral roll revision exercise progresses with verification of migration, death and duplicate entries.

Karwar: The Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls for 2026 is progressing rapidly in Uttara Kannada district, with the distribution of enumeration forms to all eligible voters now successfully completed, District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner K. Lakshmipriya has announced.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, the district has a total of 12,30,037 registered voters, and enumeration forms have been distributed to every voter as part of the ongoing revision exercise.
So far, 4,97,840 forms have been digitized, while the process of computerizing the remaining forms is currently underway.
During the house to house verification process, election officials identified a total of 6,365 cases related to migration, deaths and duplicate voter entries. Of these, 1,235 voters were found to have permanently shifted from their constituencies, 4,639 were reported deceased, and 452 cases involved duplicate registrations.
The district administration stated that the objective of the special revision drive is to make the electoral rolls more accurate, transparent and error free. Election staff are continuing door to door verification to ensure that the voter database remains updated and reliable.
Deputy Commissioner K. Lakshmipriya has appealed to citizens to cooperate with election officials by providing the necessary information and assisting in the successful completion of the electoral roll revision process.
