Condolence program Held for Trustee Abdul Hameed Damudi, Tributes Paid to His Educational and Social Contributions
Scholars, community leaders, and educators remember the late Abdul Hameed Damudi as a generous supporter of education and social service.

Bhatkal: A condolence meeting was held today at Ali Public School following the demise of prominent businessman and trustee of Moulana Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi Islamic Academy and Ali Public School and PU College, Janab Abdul Hameed Damudi RA.
The gathering was attended by religious scholars, educationists, institution heads, and members of the community, who expressed deep sorrow over his passing and described it as a major loss for the community and especially for the field of education.
Addressing the gathering, Academy and School General Secretary Moulana Mohammed Ilyas Nadvi spoke emotionally about his long association with the late Abdul Hameed Damudi. He said that from the very early days of the academy, the deceased had always extended sincere support and played an important role in strengthening educational initiatives. He added that when Ali Public School was established, Abdul Hameed Damudi continued to contribute wholeheartedly towards its growth and development.
During his speech, Moulana Ilyas Nadvi also announced that one block of the school would be named after Abdul Hameed Damudi so that future generations would remember his contributions and develop a spirit of service towards the community.
He also highlighted the late trustee’s support towards Jamiatus Salihat, mentioning that he had personally donated land and financed the construction of an entire building for the institution.
Jamia Islamia Bhatkal Rector Moulana Maqbool Ahmed Nadvi said that stories of Abdul Hameed Damudi’s generosity and charitable work had been heard since childhood, and many people were fortunate to witness his sincere efforts personally. He particularly praised the encouragement and support he offered to those working in the educational sector.
Qazi of Jamaatul Muslimeen Bhatkal Moulana Abdul Rab Nadvi advised the family members of the deceased to continue maintaining the relationships and goodwill established by their father.
Former Nayib Qazi Moulana Abdul Azeem Nadvi also shared several incidents highlighting his services towards Jamia Islamia Bhatkal.
Nayib Nazim of Jamia Islamia Bhatkal Moulana Khalilur Rahman Muniri also expressed his thoughts during the meeting.
The condolence gathering concluded with an emotional dua led by Nayib Qazi Moulana Abdul Noor Nadvi.
