Condolence Meet Held at Syedna Umair Juma Masjid Following the Demise of Abdul Bari Kola

Bhatkal: A condolence meet was held at Syedina Umair Juma Masjid on Friday night after Isha prayers following the demise of Abdul Bari Kola, who passed away on Thursday after a brief illness. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un.

The gathering was attended by prominent scholars, relatives, friends, and family members of the deceased. Speakers highlighted various aspects of his life and remembered him as a deeply religious and compassionate individual.

Qazi Markazi Khalifa Jamiatul Muslimeen Bhatkal, Maulana Khwaja Moinuddin Nadvi Madani, said that the late Abdul Bari Kola had an extraordinary attachment to worship and spiritual practices. Despite being blessed with worldly comforts, his focus remained on prayers, remembrance of Allah, and charitable deeds.

Recalling his experience of performing Hajj with the deceased, Maulana Moinuddin said he was deeply impressed by Abdul Bari Kola’s sincerity, patience, and devotion. He noted that throughout the pilgrimage, the late Abdul Bari never complained about any hardship and remained content and dedicated to worship.

Speaking on the occasion, close relative Janab Saleem Kola, President of Masjid Syedna Talha, said that the deceased always emphasized maintaining strong family ties and caring for relatives. He added that this tradition of strengthening kinship bonds had been inherited from their grandfather, Janab Hanif Saheb, who consistently encouraged unity, mutual love, and goodwill among family members.

Other speakers also highlighted his generous nature and noted that whenever support was required for the locality, the mosque, or community initiatives, Abdul Bari Kola was among the first to contribute. His services towards mosque development and the promotion of religious activities were particularly appreciated.

The condolence meeting was also addressed by Maulana Syed Ahmed Nadvi, Secretary of Haneef Welfare Association, Maulana Muzaffar Longi, Secretary of Masjid Syedna Talha, Hafiz Abdullah Ruknuddin, Secretary of Syedna Umair Juma Masjid, and Maulana Adnan Quazi Nadvi, Imam and Khateeb of Syedina Umair Juma Masjid.

The gathering concluded with prayers for the forgiveness and elevated status of the deceased.
