During the exercise, around 5,700 new voters were reportedly enrolled through Form 6. At the same time, an estimated 19,000 to 20,000 names were removed from the electoral roll, resulting in an overall decrease in the number of registered voters.

The revision has drawn attention among local political circles, with questions surrounding the number of additions, deletions and corrections made to the voter list. The reasons behind the deletions and the final verified figures are expected to remain important points of discussion.

Voters are advised to check whether their names appear on the revised electoral roll. Anyone who finds that their name is missing or that their personal information or address contains errors should contact the concerned election officials for clarification and guidance on the necessary corrective steps.

With the revised voter count potentially influencing the political landscape of the Bhatkal constituency, the final figures following the SIR exercise are likely to remain a subject of public interest.
