Bhatkal to Host Grand Eid Milan and National Unity Mushaira Tonight
Karnataka Urdu Academy brings together poets from across India for a live cultural evening in Bhatkal, streaming on Fikrokhabar.
Bhatkal is set to come alive with poetry and culture tonight as the Karnataka Urdu Academy, Bengaluru, hosts the “Eid Milan and National Unity Mushaira” at Amna Palace. The programme kicks off at 8 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, and is expected to draw a large gathering of literature lovers from the city and nearby areas.
Presiding over the evening will be Maulana Mufti Mohammed Ali Qazi, Chairman of the Karnataka Urdu Academy, joined by several distinguished guests and prominent local personalities.
Sharif Ahmed Sharif and Dr. Shams Siddiqui are serving as conveners for the event.
The mushaira brings together an impressive roster of poets from cities across India, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Malegaon, Dharwad, Shimoga, Davangere, Sholapur, Bijapur, and Bhatkal itself. The participating poets are:
Dr. Hanif Shabab, Prof. Qadeer Nazim, Iqbal Saeedi, Sheikh Habeeb, Prof. Riyaz Mehmood, Ibn Hasan Bhatkali, Sardar Saleem, Ahmed Bashamasakhir, Dr. Dawood Mohsin, Maulana Samaan Khalifa Nadvi, Siraj Sholapuri, Sharif Ahmed Sharif, Dr. Natiq Alipur, Jafar Sawan Nadvi, Aslam Bukhari, Anwar Khan Anwar, Rafiq Sarwar, and Mohammad Tanveer Azeem.
