Bhatkal Taluka Inter College Historical Fair to Be Held on September 3
The SIO Bhatkal Unit will host a heritage focused exhibition to encourage students to explore, research and preserve Karnataka's rich history.
The Students Islamic Organisation of India Bhatkal Unit will organise the Bhatkal Taluka Inter College Historical Fair on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
The event, titled “Imprints of the Past: Discover, Research, Preserve”, will be held at Dr. M.T. Hasan Bapa Hall at New Shams School in Bhatkal.
The fair aims to encourage students and members of the public to learn more about Karnataka’s historical and cultural heritage and promote greater interest in researching and preserving the region’s past.
A special exhibition will showcase various historical and cultural themes. Students will have an opportunity to present their research and share their understanding of the area’s heritage with visitors.
The organisers have announced a total prize pool of ₹30,000 for the event.
Janab Kidiyoor Nihal, former National Secretary of SIO India and former State President of SIO Karnataka, will attend the programme as the Chief Guest.
Janab Muhammed Ishaq Shabandri, General Secretary of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen, Bhatkal, and Maulana Azeezur Rahman Ruknuddin Nadvi, General Secretary of Majlis e Islah Wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal, will attend as Guests of Honour.
The inaugural ceremony will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
The exhibition will remain open to visitors from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm.
The concluding ceremony is scheduled from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The organisers have invited students, educational institutions, media representatives and members of the public to attend the fair and support efforts to discover, research and preserve the region’s historical heritage.
