The Ayushman Bharat Arogya Karnataka scheme is a major healthcare initiative aimed at providing free and affordable medical treatment to economically weaker sections through an integrated health insurance framework. Hospitals are assessed based on various parameters, including the number of beneficiaries served, efficiency in claim processing, availability of diagnostic services, and overall delivery of healthcare benefits.
Health officials stated that Bhatkal Taluk Hospital has made notable progress in recent years by improving administrative systems, strengthening patient assistance services, and expanding access to specialized medical care.
