Bhatkal Student Shrees Naik Tops Karnataka University, Wins 9 Gold Medals
Anjuman College student secures first rank in MA Kannada, sets record at university convocation.
In a proud moment for Bhatkal, Shrees Naik, a student of Anjuman Degree College and Post Graduate Centre, has achieved remarkable success at Karnataka University.
At the university’s 75th convocation, Shrees secured the first rank in MA Kannada across the university. Along with this achievement, he won a total of nine gold medals and two cash awards, creating a new record with his outstanding performance.
The awards were presented by Thaawarchand Gehlot and Higher Education Minister Dr. M. C. Sudhakar, who recognised his academic excellence.
Speaking about his success, Shrees credited his teachers at Anjuman College for their constant guidance and support, as well as the institution’s strong academic environment. His achievement highlights that students from smaller towns like Bhatkal can compete and excel at the highest levels.
Shrees is the son of Professor R. S. Naik and is currently working as an officer at Canara Bank. The management and faculty of Anjuman College expressed great pride in his accomplishment, calling it a significant milestone for the institution.
