Bhatkal Researchers Awarded PhD Degrees at Kuvempu University Convocation
Two research scholars from Bhatkal received PhD degrees while three Urdu students were honoured with gold medals at the university’s annual convocation.

The 35th annual convocation ceremony of Kuvempu University was held on Wednesday with great enthusiasm and academic pride. The event took place in the presence of Karnataka Governor and University Chancellor Thaawarchand Gehlot, who presented awards and honours to outstanding students and researchers.
During the ceremony, a total of 163 research scholars were awarded PhD degrees, while 155 gold medals were distributed among 79 meritorious students from different academic disciplines.
For the Urdu academic community of Bhatkal, the occasion turned into a proud and memorable moment. Two research scholars from Bhatkal, Abdul Hafeez Nadvi and Abdul Fattah, were awarded doctoral degrees in recognition of their research work.
Both scholars completed their research under the guidance of Professor Syed Sanaullah, whose mentorship was praised during the event.
Students from the Urdu department also achieved remarkable success by securing multiple gold medals at the convocation.

Mohammed Mirajuddin Raza received two gold medals for his academic excellence, while Aafiya Parveen was also honoured with two gold medals.
Another student from Bhatkal, Mothara Parveen, was awarded one gold medal for her outstanding performance.
Expressing happiness over the achievements, Professor Syed Sanaullah and Dr Siraj Ahmed congratulated all the successful students and researchers. They said the accomplishments of these young scholars reflect a bright future for Urdu language and literature.
