Bengaluru Tragedy: Two Sisters Die After Gas Leak from Bathroom Geyser
Young women, aged 23 and 20, suffocate to death after inhaling leaked gas while bathing; family devastated.

Bengaluru: In a heartbreaking incident, two sisters lost their lives in Bengaluru after a suspected gas leak from a bathroom geyser led to suffocation.
According to reports, the victims — Gulfam (23) and Simran Taj (20) — were found unconscious inside their bathroom after failing to come out for a long time. Family members, worried by the delay, broke open the door and discovered the sisters lying motionless.
They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared both dead on arrival. Preliminary findings suggest that the two may have inhaled gas emitted from a leaking geyser, causing breathing difficulties and eventual suffocation.
The sisters’ father, Altaf, has four daughters — two of whom are married. Gulfam had recently been engaged, and her wedding was due to take place soon, making the tragedy even more devastating for the family.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation to confirm the exact cause of the leak.
