Anjuman Arts, Science and Commerce College, Bhatkal, is gearing up to host a Free Mega Health Camp and Cancer Awareness Program on 19th April 2026 at the Anjuman Degree College campus. The event is being organised in collaboration with Father Muller Medical College and Hospital, Mangalore.

The camp will offer free specialist consultations across a wide range of medical departments, including General Medicine, Dermatology, General Surgery, ENT, Paediatrics, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Speech and Hearing, and Surgical Oncology. Students, college staff, and members of the general public are all welcome to attend.

Dr. Elroy Saldanha, a specialist in Surgical Oncology and Robotic Surgery holding qualifications including MS, MCh, PDCC, FACS, FIAGES, FMAS and EFIAGES, will serve as the Chief Guest and Resource Person for the event.

The programme is being driven by the college’s Students Welfare Wing and Red Cross Unit, with Prof. Mohammed Ganim serving as the Event Coordinator. A press conference was held on 15th April 2026 at the Principal’s Chamber to brief the media ahead of the camp.

The initiative is part of the college’s IQAC programme and reflects a broader commitment to community health and public outreach in the Uttara Kannada region.
