Airtel and Google Partner to Launch India’s First AI Hub in Visakhapatnam
The collaboration aims to build a massive data center and strengthen India's digital infrastructure for advanced AI.

Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh – In a major move to advance artificial intelligence in India, Bharti Airtel has announced a strategic partnership with Google. Together, they will establish the country’s first AI hub in Visakhapatnam.
As part of this collaboration, Airtel will build and manage a large-scale data center. This new facility will be powerful enough to handle the most complex AI and machine learning tasks, providing the essential computing power needed for future technologies.
The partnership also includes the construction of a new Cable Landing Station by Airtel. This station will host Google’s new international subsea cables, significantly boosting India’s connectivity with the rest of the world and ensuring faster data transfer.
To support this infrastructure, Airtel will also create a robust fiber optic network that will connect cities and improve data flow within Visakhapatnam. This entire project is set to enhance India’s digital capabilities and deliver better, faster AI experiences nationwide.
