Wizz Air Returns to Abu Dhabi with Flights from Dh312
The European budget carrier will resume services to the UAE capital next month after halting its local operations earlier this year.

Abu Dhabi, UAE – European low-cost airline Wizz Air has announced its return to Abu Dhabi, with bookings now open for flights starting in November 2025. The airline is offering one-way fares to the UAE capital for as low as Dh312.
According to the airline’s website, the first new services will begin on November 20, connecting Abu Dhabi with Katowice and Krakow in Poland.
Additional routes will be launched in the following weeks, including:
- Bucharest, Romania (from November 30)
- Budapest, Hungary (from December 1)
- Larnaca, Cyprus (from December 14)
This decision marks a quick turnaround for the airline, whose local joint venture, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, officially ceased all operations on September 1, 2025. At the time, the company had cited geopolitical conditions, regulatory challenges, and intense competition from other budget airlines as the reasons for its exit.
With the re-launch of these direct European routes, Wizz Air is re-establishing its presence in the UAE market, promoting the new services as some of the most affordable travel options available to Abu Dhabi.
