The DC cited powers under Section 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and requests from local revenue officials, to temporarily close institutions and prevent any risks to children amid heavy rains. Departments concerned have been instructed to strictly implement the order and adjust academic schedules to compensate for the lost day in the coming weeks.

Administrative notes in the order ask the Women & Child Development Department (for anganwadis), the Department of Public Instruction (school education) and the Department of Pre‑University Education to circulate and enforce the decision without delay.

Parents and students in the notified taluks are advised to follow official updates from the district administration and their respective institutions.
