The United Arab Emirates has ramped up its humanitarian support to the people of Gaza, sending ten aid convoys over the past two weeks alone. These convoys, which recently crossed into Gaza via Egypt’s Rafah Crossing, are part of the UAE’s ongoing ‘Operation Chivalrous Knight 3’.

A total of 214 trucks made their way through the border, carrying more than 4,565 tonnes of vital supplies. The contents included not only essential food packages but also equipment and pipes needed for desalination projects—crucial to maintaining safe water supplies in the region. Teams based in Al Arish, Egypt, have been closely managing the delivery process to ensure the aid safely reaches those most in need.

This latest effort is part of a much larger initiative. On March 31, the UAE marked 500 consecutive days of humanitarian work in Gaza. Since the start of this mission, the country has delivered over 65,000 tonnes of aid—including food, medical supplies, and relief goods—worth more than US$1.2 billion. Aid has been delivered on land, by sea, and by air, using all available routes to overcome challenging conditions.

According to recent United Nations data, the UAE’s contributions now make up nearly 44 per cent of all international aid entering Gaza. This remarkable figure reflects the UAE’s steadfast commitment to supporting Palestinian families.

Meanwhile, the UAE’s government continues to voice strong opposition to policies endangering the rights of Palestinians. Just this week, Emirati officials condemned the Israeli government’s move to take full control of Gaza, highlighting concerns about the humanitarian impact and any attempts to displace local residents.

Through sustained action and a clear message of solidarity, the UAE remains a leading force in regional aid, working to bring hope and relief to the people of Gaza amid ongoing hardship.
