Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent threatening statements against Qatar, calling them “aggressive” and warning that such rhetoric poses a serious risk to regional peace and unity.

In a statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government expressed full solidarity with Qatar following the recent Israeli airstrikes on Doha that targeted Hamas leaders.

“The security and stability of the sisterly State of Qatar are an integral part of the security and stability of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC),” the ministry stated. “Any attack on a Gulf state is an attack on the collective Gulf security system.”

The UAE categorically rejected Netanyahu’s statements, particularly those that contained future threats against Qatar, adding that such remarks could seriously destabilize the region.

“The continuation of this provocative and aggressive approach undermines the chances of achieving stability and pushes the region toward extremely dangerous paths,” the statement said.

The UAE’s remarks come as tensions in the Gulf rise sharply following Israel’s unprecedented airstrikes in Qatar, and amid growing condemnation from other Arab and Islamic nations.

The UAE’s stance underscores a broader message from the GCC: any threat to one Gulf state is a threat to all — and such actions will be met with unified resistance.
