Moulvi Abdul Hafeez Khan Nadwi completed his thesis titled “Selected Urdu Travel Writers of South India.” His work focuses on travel writing in southern India, an area that has received less attention compared to northern India.

Abdul Fattah Bapusaheb chose to research the renowned poet Hafiz Karnataki. His thesis, titled “Hafiz Karnataki: Memory, Thought and Art,” examines the life and literary contributions of the famous children’s poet.

Dr. Sanaullah, who guided both researchers, praised their performance during the oral examination (viva voce). He noted that both scholars demonstrated excellent understanding of their research topics.

The examination panel included Professor Arshbiya Jabeen from Hyderabad Central University and Professor Mohammad Naseemudin Fareed from Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Both examiners appreciated the quality of research presented by the scholars.

Speaking about his work, Moulvi Abdul Hafeez Khan Nadwi explained, “While travel literature from North India has been extensively researched, South Indian Urdu travel writing has received limited attention. I chose this topic to fill that gap.”

Abdul Fattah Bapusaheb said, “Hafiz Karnataki is a beloved children’s poet. Working on his poetry has been an honor for me. I plan to continue researching his literary works in the future.”
