Türkiye Issues Arrest Warrants for 37 Israeli Officials, Including Netanyahu
Istanbul prosecutor accuses Israeli leaders of genocide and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

ISTANBUL – The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has issued arrest warrants for 37 senior Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
The warrants accuse the officials of committing genocide and crimes against humanity during Israel’s military operations in Gaza since October 2023. The prosecutor cited systematic attacks on civilians, hospitals, and infrastructure, including the killing of 6-year-old Hind Rajab and the bombing of the Global Sumud Flotilla aid mission.
Türkiye has been a strong critic of Israel’s actions in Gaza and previously suspended diplomatic and trade ties over the war.
This move follows the International Criminal Court’s decision last year to issue arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on war crimes charges.
