Tragic Road Accident in Shirur Claims Life of Rickshaw Driver
A speeding truck collided with an auto-rickshaw, resulting in the instant death of the driver.
SHIRUR: A man was killed in a tragic road accident today near Shirur Pete when a speeding truck struck his auto-rickshaw from behind. The victim has been identified as Ilyas Kara.
According to reports, the collision was so severe that the auto-rickshaw was thrown to the other side of the road. The driver, Mr. Kara, reportedly hit the road divider and died instantly at the scene.
The impact of the crash caused major damage to the back of the rickshaw and also damaged the front of the truck.
Local police arrived at the location shortly after the incident. They have taken custody of the body and moved it to a nearby hospital for a post-mortem examination.
