Tragic Crash in Kolar: Four Sabarimala Pilgrims Die as Car Falls Off Flyover
The speeding vehicle hit a railing and plunged into an underpass early Monday morning.
Kolar: In a heartbreaking accident early Monday morning, four pilgrims traveling to Sabarimala were killed when their car crashed off a flyover in the Kolar district of Karnataka.
According to the police, the accident took place between 2:15 AM and 2:30 AM near Abbenahalli village in Malur taluk.
The four victims were a group of friends. They were on their way to Kerala for the Sabarimala pilgrimage when the tragedy occurred.
A senior police officer stated that the car was reportedly moving at a high speed. The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to crash into the flyover’s side barrier. The impact was so severe that the car fell off the bridge and landed in the underpass below.
Sadly, all four passengers died on the spot.
Police officials confirmed that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem. They will be handed over to the families once the procedures are completed.
