Tragedy at Kundapur Beach: Three Drown, One Rescued from Arabian Sea

A weekend trip turned tragic for a group of Bengaluru youths when three young men drowned and another was hospitalised after being pulled into the Arabian Sea by strong currents at Gopadi Beach, near Kundapur, on Sunday.

According to police, the victims were part of a group of ten who had come from Bengaluru to visit the beach. Out of the group, seven entered the water, but four were quickly swept away by powerful currents.

Rescue efforts were launched immediately. While one person was rescued and rushed to a hospital, the other three could not be saved, police confirmed.

Authorities have reiterated warnings about swimming in unmonitored beach areas, especially during monsoon season when the sea is particularly rough and dangerous.
