Maulana Fazlurraheem Mujaddidi Sahab has outlined the second phase of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s (AIMPLB) campaign to protect Muslim Waqf properties, which started on September 1, 2025, and will continue until November 30, 2025.
The roadmap includes several key activities and milestones:
- September 19, 2025 (Friday Prayer Special):
A nationwide special prayer day focusing on the importance of Waqf protection, with Friday sermons highlighting concerns about recent amendments to Waqf laws and stressing the dangers these pose to Muslim community assets. - October 3, 2025 (Protest Day):
A complete shutdown protest planned from 8 AM to 2 PM, where Muslims are urged to close shops and offices to demonstrate unity and resistance. Medical stores will remain open. Protests will be held at prominent locations like Jantar Mantar and other key public spaces featuring sit-ins, with participants holding placards demanding protection of Waqf properties. - Ongoing Activities:
The campaign includes awareness programs, public meetings, and coordinated efforts to inform the community about threats to Waqf assets and urge government accountability. - Objectives:
- Raise Muslim community awareness about the significance of Waqf assets for communal welfare.
- Oppose amendments seen as harmful to Waqf management and autonomy.
- Mobilize public opinion through peaceful demonstrations and religious platforms such as mosques.
- Encourage collective prayer and resolve to protect Waqf properties.
The campaign appeals to religious leaders, community members, and the youth to actively participate for religious and social justice. It emphasizes that Waqf properties are vital communal resources that sustain educational, charitable, and religious institutions serving Muslims.
