New Delhi: A delegation led by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) President Syed Sadatullah Hussaini met senior representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India and expressed solidarity with the Iranian people amid ongoing tensions in the region.

The delegation included JIH Vice President Salim Engineer and National Secretary I. Karimullah. During the visit, they met Mohammad Fatali, Ambassador of Iran to India; Abdul Majeed Hakim Elahi, the representative of Ali Khamenei in India; and Deputy Representative of the Supreme Leader Agha Ziyyeh.

During the meeting, the JIH delegation conveyed their condolences over the martyrdom of Ruhollah Khomeini. Speaking on the occasion, Hussaini said that Khomeini’s sacrifice would continue to inspire people around the world who strive for justice and freedom.

The JIH President also strongly criticised what he described as military aggression against Iran by the United States and Israel, calling it a violation of international law and fundamental moral principles.

Hussaini expressed solidarity with the people of Iran and praised their resilience and determination during difficult times. He highlighted what he described as the spirit of resistance shown by Iranians in the face of injustice.

Emphasising the need for peace, he urged that the current tensions be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic efforts rather than military confrontation. He also expressed hope for lasting peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.
