SpiceJet Flight Returns to Delhi After Mid-Air Technical Problem
All passengers safe; airline arranges alternative aircraft to continue Patna journey
A Patna-bound SpiceJet flight was forced to return to Delhi shortly after take-off on Thursday morning due to a technical problem.
According to the airline, the Boeing 737 aircraft made a safe landing at the Delhi airport, and all passengers deplaned without any issue. The exact number of passengers on board was not shared by the carrier.
In its statement, SpiceJet said, “Flight SG 497 operating from Delhi to Patna on October 23, 2025, returned to Delhi after take-off due to a technical issue. An alternate aircraft was arranged for the passengers, which is now on its way to Patna.”
The airline clarified that safety procedures were followed and the situation was handled as per standard operational guidelines.
