Spain Warns World Is Getting Used to Gaza’s Suffering
Foreign Minister says terrible conditions are becoming "normal" as famine continues despite ceasefire.

Spain’s Foreign Minister has warned that the world is becoming too comfortable with Gaza’s suffering, saying the international community must do more to help Palestinians.

“We cannot settle for the silence of the weapons, for a simple truce. We must act,” Jose Manuel Albares told a forum in Barcelona.
He expressed concern that “what is terrible [is] becoming normal, of becoming accustomed to images of pain and suffering” from Gaza.
Albares called for massive humanitarian aid to end the famine and said the Palestinian Authority – not Hamas – should lead Gaza’s reconstruction efforts.
His comments come as the fragile ceasefire holds but basic needs remain unmet across the territory, particularly in northern Gaza where famine conditions persist.
