Six Teachers Arrested, Two Minors Detained in Karnataka SSLC Prep Exam Paper Leak
Police investigation reveals students sold leaked SSLC preparatory question papers on social media for ₹200–₹500.

BENGALURU- Karnataka police have arrested six school teachers and detained two minor students in connection with a question paper leak involving the State Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) preparatory examination. The case came to light after examination authorities reported circulation of the leaked papers on social media platforms.
According to the Bengaluru North Division Cyber Crime police, students openly advertised that they had access to the SSLC preparatory question papers and invited others to contact them via private messages. The documents were then shared in exchange for cash amounts reportedly ranging from ₹200 to ₹500.
Preliminary police findings indicate that the leaked papers may have been initially accessed by teachers using official login credentials provided by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board. These credentials, normally used by headmasters and senior staff to download exam papers, are now believed to have been misused.
The six teachers arrested are from schools in Kalaburagi, Tumakuru and Ramanagara districts, including a headmaster and assistant teachers. The two minors detained are alleged to have circulated the leaked papers online after receiving them.
Investigators are examining whether the leak was restricted to these individuals or if a broader network was involved. All those taken into custody are being questioned as the probe continues.
