Shooting Attack in Jerusalem Leaves 15 Injured

At least 15 people were wounded in a shooting attack at the northern entrance of Jerusalem on Monday morning, September 8, 2025.
According to Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom, six of the injured are in serious condition. Police said that two attackers opened fire at a busy intersection leading toward Jewish settlements in occupied East Jerusalem. Officers responded quickly and confirmed that both attackers were “neutralised” soon after the incident began.
The attack comes at a time of rising violence linked to the continuing war in Gaza. Clashes and attacks have increased in both the Israeli-occupied West Bank and inside Israel. Palestinian groups have been carrying out attacks, while violence by Israeli settlers against Palestinians has also grown sharply in recent weeks.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident as tensions remain high across the region.
