Sheikh Yasir Al-Dosari to Deliver Friday Sermon at Masjid Al-Haram During Ramadan
The Imam of the Grand Mosque will lead the Friday Khutbah on 17 Ramadan 1447H – March 6, 2026.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced that Sheikh Professor Dr. Yasir bin Rashid Al-Dosari, the Imam and Khatib of Masjid Al-Haram, will deliver the Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque in Makkah on 17 Ramadan 1447H (March 6, 2026).
Sheikh Al-Dosari is one of the most prominent religious scholars and preachers in Saudi Arabia. He serves as a senior Imam at the holiest mosque in Islam, making his sermons widely followed by Muslims around the world, both in person and through live broadcasts.
In the event that Sheikh Al-Dosari is unable to deliver the sermon, Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid has been named as the backup preacher for the occasion. Sheikh Ibn Humaid is a well-respected Islamic scholar and a former President of the Muslim World League.
The Friday sermon at Masjid Al-Haram holds special significance during the holy month of Ramadan, as millions of worshippers gather in Makkah for prayers, Taraweeh, and spiritual reflection.
