Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid to Deliver Friday Sermon at Masjid al-Haram This Week – 10 April 2026
The senior Islamic scholar and Imam of the Grand Mosque will lead Jumu'ah prayer on 22 Shawwal 1447 AH.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, Imam and Khateeb of Masjid al-Haram, will deliver this Friday’s sermon and lead the Jumu’ah prayer at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
The prayer is scheduled for 22 Shawwal 1447 AH, at one of the most visited and sacred sites in the world, where hundreds of thousands of worshippers gather every Friday from all corners of the globe.
A standby preacher has also been confirmed for this week. Sheikh Prof. Dr. Yasser bin Rashed Al-Dossari has been designated as the backup Khateeb, ready to step in if needed.
Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid is one of the most prominent and respected Islamic scholars in Saudi Arabia. He is a former member of the Council of Senior Scholars and has served as a senior Imam at Masjid al-Haram for many years. His Friday sermons are widely followed by Muslims around the world through live television and digital broadcasts.
