Sheikh Khalid Al-Muhanna to Lead Friday Prayer at the Prophet’s Mosque on 22 Shawwal 1447 – 10 April 2026
The Imam of Masjid al-Nabawi is confirmed to deliver this week's Jumu'ah sermon in Madinah.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Suleiman Al-Muhanna, Imam and Khateeb of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, will deliver the Friday sermon and lead the Jumu’ah prayer this week.
The prayer is set for 22 Shawwal 1447 AH at Masjid al-Nabawi — the mosque of the Prophet ﷺ, which stands as one of the holiest and most beloved sites in the entire Muslim world, welcoming millions of visitors and worshippers throughout the year.
As is the standard practice, a reserve Khateeb has also been officially named. Sheikh Dr. Abdulmohsen bin Muhammad Al-Qasim will serve as the backup preacher this week, ready to step in if required.
Sheikh Al-Muhanna is a respected Imam at the Prophet’s Mosque and is well known for his strong recitation and thoughtful sermons, which are broadcast live each Friday to Muslim audiences around the globe.
