Sheikh Abdullah Al-Buaijan to Deliver Friday Sermon at the Prophet’s Mosque Today
The Imam of Masjid al-Nabawi leads Jumu'ah prayer on 15 Shawwal 1447 AH — 3 April 2026.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has confirmed that Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Buaijan, Imam and Khatib of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, will deliver today’s Friday sermon and lead the Jumu’ah prayer.
Today’s prayer falls on 15 Shawwal 1447 AH, corresponding to Friday, 3 April 2026 — a significant weekly occasion at Masjid al-Nabawi, one of Islam’s holiest sites, where worshippers and visitors from around the world gather in large numbers every Friday.
As is standard practice, a reserve preacher has also been designated for today. Sheikh Dr. Abdul Bari bin Awwad Al-Thubayti will serve as the standby Khatib, ready to step in if required.
This week’s announcement was shared in multiple languages — Arabic, English, French, Malay, Urdu, and Persian — reflecting the global audience that follows the Prophet’s Mosque sermons closely each week.
Sheikh Al-Buaijan is a senior religious scholar and a respected Imam at Masjid al-Nabawi. His Friday sermons are broadcast live and reach millions of Muslims worldwide through television and digital platforms.
