Senior Journalist M.R. Manvi Selected for Bardoli Honor Award

The Ankola Taluk Working Journalists’ Association has selected senior journalist M.R. Manvi from Bhatkal for the distinguished Bardoli Award, bestowed annually in honor of Press Day.
The decision was announced by association president Arun Shetty during a recent meeting. The award, presented every year as part of Press Day commemorations, will be formally conferred on Manvi during the celebrations held on Monday, September 8, at Gokhale Centenary Degree College in Ankola.
The meeting also included the presence of honorary president Raghu Kakarmat, vice president Nagaraj Manjuguni, and members K. Ramesh, Vasudev Gunga, Subhash Karebail, Akshay Naik, Nagaraj Jambalekar, Dinakar Naik, and Mohan Durgekar, among others.
Originally from Manvi taluk in Raichur district, M.R. Manvi has devoted over 30 years to journalism, education, and social service in Bhatkal, Uttara Kannada district. He holds key leadership roles such as president of the Bhatkal Taluk Working Journalists’ Association, secretary of the Bhatkal Sadbhavana Manch, and Karnataka state president of the All India Ideal Teachers’ Association.
Manvi’s long-standing commitment to media and community development has earned him respect and the honor of receiving the Bardoli Award.
