Senior IAS Officer Mahantesh Bilagi Dies in Kalaburagi Road Accident
Bilagi and two others were killed after their vehicle overturned near Gounalli Cross.
Kalaburagi: Senior Karnataka IAS officer Mahantesh Bilagi, Managing Director of the Karnataka State Minerals Corporation, was among three people who lost their lives in a tragic road accident near Gounalli Cross in Jewargi taluk on Sunday.
According to preliminary reports, Bilagi was travelling with relatives from Ramdurg in Belagavi district to Kalaburagi to attend a family wedding. The accident occurred when a dog suddenly ran across the road, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The car overturned, leading to fatal injuries.
The deceased have been identified as Mahantesh Bilagi, his brother Shankar Bilagi, and Eeranna Shirasangi.
