Saudi Arabia Vows Full Support to Qatar Amid Israeli Aggression

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday declared that Saudi Arabia will stand firmly with the State of Qatar “without limits” in the face of Israeli aggression.
Speaking on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince inaugurated the second year of the 9th session of the Shoura Council in Riyadh. In his annual address, he outlined Saudi Arabia’s domestic priorities and foreign policy stances, reaffirming solidarity with neighboring Qatar.
“Saudi Arabia rejects and condemns the Israeli aggression against Qatar and will mobilize all its capabilities in support of the brotherly nation,” he stated.
Economic Growth and Reforms
Crown Prince Mohammed highlighted the Kingdom’s strong economic performance, noting that Saudi Arabia’s gross domestic product has surpassed SR4.5 trillion. He said the nation has become a global hub for investment while continuing to diversify its economy.
He added that the government remains focused on maintaining strong public finances to reduce dependence on a single volatile revenue source, ensuring sustainable growth and creating more job opportunities.
The Crown Prince also pointed to policies aimed at addressing imbalances in the real estate sector, stressing that prices in some parts of the Kingdom had reached “unacceptable” levels.
Social Development and Defense Capabilities
The Crown Prince reaffirmed efforts to improve the quality of life for citizens, residents, and visitors. He also announced that Saudi Arabia is working to strengthen its defense capabilities to ensure the safety and stability of the nation.
He emphasized that public spending will continue to be carefully evaluated to balance economic growth with social development needs.
Strong Position on Palestine and Syria
On regional matters, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated the Kingdom’s unwavering position on the Palestinian issue. “Gaza is Palestinian land, and the rights of its people cannot be taken away by aggression,” he said.
He reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the two-state solution and urged the international community to stand united in upholding Palestinian rights.
Turning to Syria, the Crown Prince said the Kingdom had succeeded in securing the lifting of sanctions to help preserve its territorial integrity and support rebuilding efforts after years of conflict.
“The Saudi state, founded three centuries ago, remains rooted in justice, Islamic principles, and consultation,” he concluded, affirming the Kingdom’s commitment to stability, progress, and regional solidarity.
